Renewals
In order to fulfill the
requirements of the Alabama
S.A.F.E Act companies who extend
credit or arrange for the
extension of credit
secured by
residential real estate
will have to renew
their Consumer Credit Act
license first
through the Nationwide Mortgage
Licensing System “NMLS” denoted
below by the link labeled
Residential Lender.
Then you will need to renew your
Small Loan license separately
through the link provided below
labeled Small Loan
Renewal with Residential
Consumer Credit Act License
and answer some specific
questions in order for the Small
Loan license fee to be waived.
All Non-Residential
Consumer Credit Act
licensees will renew their
license and the Small Loan
License simultaneously by
clicking the Non-Residential
Consumer Credit Act/Small Loan
Act Combination Renewal.
Residential Lender Application
:
Any company that will extend
credit or take assignments of
consumer credit
contracts
secured by residential real
estate must renew through
NMLS.

Small Loan Renewal with
Residential Consumer Credit Act
License : If you have renewed
your Consumer Credit Act license
through the NMLS then you should

Non-Residential Consumer Credit

companies that are not involved
in residential lending and who
have a Small Loan License should
